Take Your Dog to Work Day

A better fake holiday I can't think of. Yes, it was the annual Take Your Dog to Work Day. Luckily this year I have a wonderful boss whom allows me to run loose every now and then and amiably agreed to let me bring my Izzy in to work last Friday. I actually wanted to use this for a press opportunity and contacted the Springfield News Sun as well as the Urbana Citizen but there must have been real news happening that day as I got no return phone calls or e-mails. It's hard to have dampened spirits with your loyal canine companion by your side all day.
She was very well behaved and people who came in to the office seemed genuinely happy give her a pat. We had a great day and I can't wait til next year - unless I can talk Ted into letting me bring her back in sooner!
