The Award for My Favorite Person of the Day
And the Award goes to... Nancy at the St. Paris Library!
Not only did she go out of her way to talk to Mitchell and let us know about the upcoming events at the library for kids his age but, and more importantly, when Mitchell told her what day his birthday was she told him her twin sons were born on the same day but her "babies" were going to be 28 and that was probably older than his Mommy. When I laughed and said, "No, Momma's about 10 years older than that," she believably seemed shocked and said how young I look.
When 40 is looming on the horizon, it's little times like this that make you feel really good for the rest of the day. That and when the lesbians Dave works with think I'm hot, well, let's just say it's been a good week! I'll take a compliment wherever I can get it!

Hoorah for a Snow Day!
Well it's the first snow days of the year for Graham. I'm sure there are many more to come. Although Mitchell is too young to really enjoy the gift of childhood that is "a snow day" there was no way we were keeping him out of the snow!

When I saw the snow I naively thought, "Oh I'll get a Christmas card picture of Mitchell with the dogs in the snow." Good idea right? Well there was way too much first snow excitement for that to come even close to happening. Plus my horrible digital camera that I want to pitch after every time I use it kept fogging up so there is fog on the pictures. I got some decent ones in spite of it I think.

This is the closest I got to the dogs getting into the frame with Mitchell. You'll notice he's no where to be seen.
And of course my cutie pie husband!
And cutie pie almost 4-year-old. Crazy!
I wish I could have gotten Izzy to hold still earlier in the day. There were snowflakes everywhere in her curly hair and we were calling her the abominable snow dog. She looked absolutely precious! She LOVES the snow.
