In the Pumpkin Patch

Mom, Mitchell and I went back to Young's Dairy Barn yesterday for a little Fall Fun.

Mitchell picked out a pumpkin he named "Pumpkiny." He then got one of the really small kind I think are actually gourds and named it "Pumpkiny 2." Apparently the gene that causes one to name things with odd monikers like Boo Ya and Loquacious Brown has not been passed down to him. Maybe that's not genetic and rather a learned thing. Either way, I'm sure his future pets, and kids, will appreciate that!

Mimi had fun too and we enjoyed looking at all of the spectacular plantings they have at Young's.
All in all we had a really fun time! AND... potty training is really kicking into high gear which makes Mama extremely happy and I've already started planning on what we can do with the extra $100 or so a month we'll get back by not having to buy diapers - not to mention all the "potty toys" we've been going through. I have convinced him that Little Einstein and Diego fruit snacks are just as awesome as a real toy but we'll see how long that lasts. Plus I really don't like the idea of food as a reward and we've always kept him away from sugar for the most part which I would like to keep up. On another side note, I am planning David's and my "Date Night" tonight. We're going out for dinner to The Round Up in Dayton and then on to see "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" outdoor drama where they do Blue Jacket in the Summer. I'm really looking forward to it. I think Dave was hoping for The Renaissance Festival but I was able to get a free ticket for Sleepy Hollow which made it way cheaper than the festival. I'm getting used to living on my unemployment wages budget, plus I just hate to pay full price for ANYTHING! I'm even getting dinner for half price! Oh well, I'm cheap but fun... isn't that what men want anyway? :^)
