Mitchell got his first tricycle tonight! He made a lot of progress in just one night but still has a little ways to go. The kid just isn't a pedaler. Never has been. He's had a pedal powered tractor for two years or so. Joe's ridden it way more than he has. Mitchell just doesn't like to pedal. He'll probably pour this story out in therapy later in life but I told him tonight if he didn't pedal his trike it we were going to take it back to Wal-Mart. I know... mean momma. He seemed to try a little harder after that though. I'm justifying it in my head that sometimes they need to be pushed a bit more in order to instill that TRY in them.
<Now that I think about it, I never really liked biking either. Two wheels never seemed like a stable enough foundation for the kind of speeds it could generate. Give me a hayburner on 4 sturdy legs any time. THAT I get. That makes sense.
So he gets it honest I guess. Always the mother's fault...
