A Day at Kiser Lake

I have to say I am really enjoying this unemployment thing. Especially with Dave's new position working three twelve hour days a week. For the first time in our 5 year marriage we have lots of family time and we're trying to make the most of it...without spending any money! Today, that meant a day at Kiser Lake. Only about 10 minutes or so away, the lake is clean and well taken care of and we even had the beach to ourselves for about an hour (the joy of going on a Monday).

I packed a picnic lunch and Mom and two of Mitchell's Great Grammas came to enjoy the day with us as well. I'm glad he has the opportunity to get to spend time with them. He is definitely going to be the better for having stong female role models in his life.

I really like this picture of Dave and Mitchell after they had dried off and changed from their swim.

And this is an artist's rendition of me... actually my legs aren't burnt at all. Please explain to me how I can be completely in the sun and my face and arms burn but my legs remain as white as ever.

So glad you guys had a fun time! It's awesome that you all can spend more time together!

And just a side note, I tried to leave comments the day you sent me your link but it wouldn't go through. I am attributing it to a lazy computer!
